Learn Why the Underlying Cause of Fibromyalgia is Oxidative Stress and Why Cellular Nutrition is Important!
The first specific condition we will look at more closely is fibromyalgia since it affects so many today. Below are listed other conditions and how you can learn more about those as well. There are over 9 million people in the United States alone that have been diagnosed with this disease. Most experts believe that chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia are expressions of the same disease. The only way to know if you have this condition is to go to a trained physician with some knowledge of this disease and do “trigger point” testing. This is done by placing mild pressure on 18 predetermined areas of the body. A physician can elicit significant tenderness in the majority of these spots. If 11 or more of these spots are positive then the person has this disease. In order to diagnose chronic fatigue a physician must obtain a history of persistent fatigue in their patients for more than 6 months. There are other symptoms physicians should may look for like recurrent swollen glands (especially in the neck) frequent infections, and low-grade fevers. However, the way most physicians diagnose this disease is by ruling out every other possibility that might be the source of the patient’s symptoms. Since this requires many tests to be performed on the individual, it may be time consuming. This usually shows negative results and they hear their physician say they can’t find anything wrong with them. After a while the person may stop seeing a physician altogether. This is why it takes 8 years on an average before a person is properly diagnosed.

This is a frustrating experience for the person involved which is the reason you may have come to this site. I commend you for trying to learn more and taking the responsibility of educating yourself. Let me share with you what I have learned. This is a chronic degenerative disease. Oxidative stress is the root and the key cause of why you may have developed fibromyalgia in the first place. Cellular nutrition is your best hope of taking back control of your health.
There are three different events that can trigger Fibromyalgia. The first is serious illness. He second is serious injury or trauma to your body (especially head and neck area). The third is severe prolonged emotional stress or a combination of the three. All three of these produce significant increase in free radicals that lead to oxidative stress. When the events are severe or in combination they can trigger the start of the disease. Certain personality types are more vulnerable. It is worthy to note that 8 out of 9 people who develop this disease are women. Most of these women are Type A, hard driving, very successful individuals. The most important step for these patients to regain their health is an aggressive nutritional supplementation program. Cellular nutrition is defined as providing all essential nutrients to the body that medical literature has determined as beneficial. Now it is important to know that in order to correct oxidative stress you must have enough antioxidants available to manage the number of free radicals produced. The best way to do this is to provide cellular nutrition by taking high-quality complete and balanced nutritional supplements. It is critical that your supplements are manufactured by a company that follows the USP guidelines and pharmaceutical-grade Good Manufacturing Practices. This is why this is mentioned on the bottom of the home page on this site and why it is so important. So you can see how fibromyalgia, oxidative stress, and cellular nutrition are all related.
